Properly aligned, straight teeth are not only attractive, they are healthier and more comfortable. Crooked teeth and an improper bite can lead to long-term dental problems that can become painful and are often expensive to fix.
Choosing Invisalign treatment is an important dental and financial decision. It is critical to find the best doctor for you. A free consultation with Dr. Basem is the best way to learn about Invisalign treatment and have your smile evaluated. You’ll also get to meet the doctor and support staff and get all of your questions answered.
During your free consultation, we’ll use the latest iTero 3D digital scanning system to quickly develop a precise 3D digital impression of your teeth. After the scan is complete, the simulation of your before and after results will be available. Dr. Basem will then evaluate your smile and map out a customized digital treatment plan that showcases the step-by-step transformation of your smile.
What is Invisalign®?
Invisalign is a popular option for those who don’t like the look of traditional metal braces. Invisalign uses custom-made aligners that straighten and shift teeth into place.
For patients who want to enjoy the many benefits of straighter teeth without having to wear uncomfortable metal brackets and wires, Invisalign is an ideal alternative to traditional braces. The process involves the use of a series of clear trays that are worn for a few weeks at a time. Over time, these trays gently and effectively move the teeth until they are perfectly aligned.
Once you meet with your Dr. Basem Ghadban for a free consultation, you will receive a series of custom-fitted aligners. Each aligner will shift your teeth every two weeks. Once you have used one aligner, you can discard it. With the help of Invisalign, your teeth will slowly change day by day.
Invisalign® Cost
A number of factors contribute to the amount you might pay for orthodontic work like Invisalign. Factors include:
- your oral health needs and how much work must be done
- your location and the average prices in your city
- the dentist’s time for labor
- how much your insurance plan will help cover
Invisalign costs in Toronto vary as indicated by Invisalign, treatment can cost from $3,000 to $7,000. Having dental insurance can lessen costs. Many individuals meet all requirements for up to $3,500 in help from their insurance agency. For comparison, traditional metal bracket braces usually cost $2,000–$6,000. Again, all of these prices depend on your individual case. Very crooked teeth or a mouth with an overbite will require more time to slowly move the teeth into an ideal position, whether you use Invisalign or traditional braces.
Enjoying the convenience and appearance of Invisalign can be surprisingly affordable. To increase the affordability of Invisalign treatment, many patients are able to take advantage of orthodontic coverage in dental insurance plans, Flexible Spending Accounts, and convenient payment plans.
Is Invisalign® Treatment Covered by Insurance?
When it comes to dental insurance, there are so many different types that it’s difficult to speak to them all. But in general, dental insurance policies with orthodontic coverage will typically cover 50% of the cost of Invisalign up to anywhere between $1000 – $3500. At your initial Invisalign consultation, our team will personally look at your insurance plan and discuss all your options.
What Can I Expect From My Invisalign® Appointments?
Your first appointment can be expected 2-4 weeks after your consultation, when your Invisalign trays are ready. Dr Basem will fit small attachments on your teeth to help the trays stay in place. These buttons are clear, almost invisible, painless to install, and temporary.
Dr Basem will then insert your trays and explain your long-term care plan and appointment schedule. This initial appointment is approximately 60 minutes. Unlike metal braces, you won’t need regular appointments with Invisalign. Instead, you will return periodically, usually every 8 to 12 weeks, to check for movement and tray fit. These appointments are typically 15 minutes and you’ll be given instructions for your next set of aligners.
